Nothing but
LOVEWould we often gaze at LOVE and just hear about stories?Would we just listen to another story and be touched yet can't be bothered?Would we be those who listen and act upon it?Would we?What's your choice today with regards to LOVE?!I heard of another touching story from Pastor CK when I went for Leaders' Meeting today. Here is how the stories goes. (Real life story that happened in Singapore)
Many a times, we just wonder how could we expressed our love for the person we truly love, and this is what we did!
We did what INCONVENIENCE us for the sake of someone else.
As a mother, she would just save up for her little boy. Being a road sweeper, she doesn't earn a lot to be able to support her son for what he may want but she tries her best. EVERYDAY of her life, she will prepare a lunchbox for her beloved, but EVERYDAY without fail, it will be rejected by the teacher in school. (This is one of the school rule : No lunchbox for the student) As the day passes by, the teacher got fiercer than she was and agitated by this "annoying" mother, but this mother, WITHOUT fail; even after being chased out of the school daily, will continue to do her love lunchbox for her son. (her love is not that her son will know she sacrificed and did that to him, but her love is pure and true, that she just want her son to have the best food)One fine day, the mother did not turn up and the teacher was very happy. She spent time with her students that day, and she realized that boy all alone. He looked sad. So being his teacher, she approached him. "What happened my dear?" She asked."Mummy is very sick." He whispered with tears down his throat. That day, this teacher decided to visit his mother and to only found out that his mother is already in her last stage of breast cancer. Seeing his mother so helpless, she became a little remorseful, especially on moments when she chased her out of the school with harsh tones and anger of words. The teacher with all her courage asked, "Is there anything I can do for you?" Mother looked into the eyes of the teacher and begged, "Could you allow me to express my love for my son for this last chance by allowing me to give this lunchbox to him during his break?" Not knowing what to reply as it is against the school rules; still the teacher agreed knowing that's the last wish of hers. The next day, she prepared this fabulous lunchbox for her beloved; full of love and effort. The ambulance brought her to her son's school, with stretcher, they lifted her down. As she was being carried into the school, seeing her son, she passed that act of love to him, took her last breath and bid goodbye to the world. =]] *story is edited with Daphne's "spices". the plot is still the same*Amazing, wonderful story.
An act of
LOVE.
You and I today, we can do this.
You and I can choose to be like the mother to express your love, the love that people may not agreed with, yet despite anything, you just do it. Or you and I can be like the teacher, just stop love from being passed around in our surrounding. For me, I chose to be like the
mother. I chose to express my love the best I know how and with no regrets; I will just do it. I did it once, loving someone unconditionally to the extend I respect the choice of his. I moved on and I am happy life goes on, but that doesn't stop me from expressing love to people around me. Thank God that this cup of mine never stop flowing even when pain enters and that's where I learnt,
UNCONDITIONED LOVE. It will
INCONVENIENT you and me, but because of
LOVE, you and I will just do it.
You can love someone today tooLove,
