In this busy world it is far too easy to forget all of the things that God has done for us. Often we take those blessings for granted, and sometimes we even forget to thank Him for them. For it is written; THE LORD YOUR GOD WILL KEEP WITH YOU THE COVENANT AND THE MERCY WHICH HE SWORE TO YOUR FATHERS. AND HE WILL LOVE YOU AND BLESS YOU. DEUTERONOMY 7:12-13 (Praise God)
Therefore never forget to thank Him for His great love, and all of the blessings that He has given to you! In fact, a great way to start each day is to spend two minutes counting all of your blessings, and then try to have only loving thoughts all day long. For when we do,our hearts become merry and we are walking in God's Light, and that will make us feel even more blessed than before! Also remember when counting all of your blessings, to count the biggest blessing of them all, and that is having such a loving, caring Heavenly Father as we do! *Amen!*
Indeed, like what Pastor shared with us, never think you are too proud to think you have reached your destination, and even if you do, never think you have gone and reached there by yourself, for without the grace of God, whatever we do just seems powerless. =] Continue to have the heart of thanksgiving and we will see the glory of Christ shine THROUGH US. God often lifts up the humble for His glory.
Let go and Let God. Like I mentioned, God is NEVER a God up in Heaven and laughing at the sufferings we are facing today. My God is a God who is here with me on Earth as it is in Heaven, carrying me when He knows I can't bear through the suffering. =] When your power wears out, always to tap on the power of Christ which kicks into your life.
To end, I just want to share with you a story :
HEAVEN'S ENTRANCE EXAM
A man dies and goes to Heaven. Saint Peter meets him at the Pearly Gates and says, "Ok, here's how it works. You need 100 points to make it into Heaven. You tell me all the good things you've done, and I'll award you a certain number of points for each item, depending on how good it was. When you reach 100 points, you get in."
"Okay," the man says...."I was married to same woman for 50 years and never once cheated on her, even in my heart."
"That's wonderful," says Saint Peter, "That's worth three points!""Three points?" he asks.
"Well, I attended church all my life and supported its ministry with my tithes and service."
"Terrific!" says Saint Peter, "That's certainly worth a point.""One point?!!
Hey, I started a soup kitchen in my city and worked in a shelter for homeless veterans!"
"Fantastic, that's good for two more points, " Saint Peter says."Two points?!!" the man cries.
"At this rate, the only way I'm going to get into Heaven is by the Grace of God!"
“Bingo, 100 points!Come on in!"
It is only by the grace of God and with the faith actions we have in the things we are faithful. God is the rewarder of all man-kind!
